Duties and rules of origin
Access Check
The service lets the company know, before exporting, which duty a product pays in the destination country and whether it qualifies for the reduction under the EU-Mercosur agreement.
The Access Check tells you, before exporting, which import duty will apply to the product in the destination country and whether the product qualifies for the reduced duty under the EU-Mercosur agreement, provisionally applied since 1 May 2026.
The reduction only applies to goods that meet the rules of origin and prove it with the correct documents.
For each customs code the Chamber states the standard and the reduced duty, the reduction schedule and any quotas, the rule of origin and the proof required, the health, technical and labelling requirements of the target market, and the risks to monitor, such as the safeguard clauses.
It works in both directions.
Complex origin cases, with production stages in more than one country, are reviewed by a customs broker from the Chamber's network and assessed case by case.
