Privacy and access measurement

The Camera Italo-Brasiliana di Cooperazione Sostenibile (also Câmara Ítalo-Brasileira de Cooperação Sustentável) respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and with the Italian and European legislation implementing it.

This policy sets out transparently: the main definitions involved; the purposes for which we process data; the categories of data processed and how they are collected; the rights you have and how to exercise them; and useful contact details.

It also covers the Official Data Portal, which forms part of the same site.

Who processes the data

The data controller is the Camera Italo-Brasiliana di Cooperazione Sostenibile (also Câmara Ítalo-Brasileira de Cooperação Sustentável), a non-profit association under Italian law, with its registered office at Via Natale del Grande 8, 00153 Rome, Italy. Contact: [email protected].

As the Chamber is based in Italy, processing is subject to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Where the visitor is in Brazil, Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) also applies.

Main definitions

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Processing means any operation performed on that data, from collection to erasure.

A processor is anyone who processes data on the controller's behalf; a third party is anyone who receives data from the controller or from a processor.

What the site measures

This site uses its own first-party access measurement, with no third-party cookies and no advertising tools. For each visit the following are recorded in aggregate form: page visited, date and time, browser language, device type, referring site, reading depth, clicks on action buttons, file downloads and form submissions (the fact of the submission only, not its content).

Until you identify yourself (see the next section), the measurement collects neither name nor email address.
IP addresses are not stored in the clear.
A session is identified by a temporary random code held in the browser itself (sessionStorage), which cannot identify a person from one visit to the next.
Browsers with Do Not Track enabled are not measured.

The purpose of this measurement is the Chamber's legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and keeping it running (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 7, IX LGPD, where applicable).

File downloads and form submissions

To download a file (PDF, spreadsheet) or submit a form (contact or a meeting request about the PAS), we ask for your email address and your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. This is asked once only per browser.

From that point on, the actions recorded during your visit, including those already taken in the same session before you identified yourself, are associated with the email address given, so that the Chamber can follow up your request and understand your interest. This record is visible only in the Chamber's internal dashboard.

The purpose of this collection is to allow pre-contractual steps to be taken at your request and with your consent (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 7, I and V LGPD), as well as to meet any accounting, tax, anti-money-laundering or transparency obligations.

Further purposes are:

sending newsletters, invitations and commercial communications, on the basis of the data subject's express consent;
the defence of rights in or out of court;
protecting information security and preventing fraud, on the basis of the same legitimate interest.

How long we keep the data

Your personal data is not kept for longer than is necessary to provide the services you have asked for. We keep it longer only where the law requires us to, or where it is necessary to defend our interests in court (for example, in a dispute).

Protection of personal data

We take appropriate measures to ensure the security, integrity and availability of your data, taking into account the scope and the context of the purposes of the processing and the type of personal data.

Forms

When you fill in the contact form or the meeting request about the PAS, the details you give (name, company, email, telephone and whatever you write) are used only to answer your request and, where appropriate, to prepare a proposal. They are not passed to third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction, portability or erasure of your data, and object to processing, by writing to [email protected].
